Research the following cuts and transitions. Explain what the cut or transition is  Explain why it is used  Give at least one example from a film or TV text where it has been used. Standard cut: A standard cut is when you cut from clip to clip, without any transition.Or when you cut from the end of one clip to the beginning of another. Fade to/from black: The term fade to /from black is used when transitioning from a blank image.Creating a smooth transition. Wipe: A  wipe  is a type of film transition where one shot replaces another by travelling from one side of the frame to another.
